BBC
Brand Strategy. UX Design. Research.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with the team at BBC UX and Design to create a vision for the BBC One Service, a cross device platform that enabled customers to access to the BBC offerings on different devices, seamlessly. Part of this project also involved explorations on a new brand structure to rebalance the relationship between the BBC master brand, and the individual products’ brands.

Outcome

  • We revised the brand strategy that allowed the BBC master brand to be more connected with the individual products’ brands.

  • The prototype for BBC One Service was delivered, with the aim to create a multi-platform experience across web, mobile, and TV.

  • I contributed to the iPlayer rebranding initiative by leading a design workshop to generate innovative ideas and foster lateral thinking.

BBC One Service

The project started with a research on ways to improve the perception of BBC master brand digital offer and to find opportunities to enhance the online brand experience.
My responsibilities included rethinking the current branding structure, competitor analysis, as well as core, functional and expressive value analysis, and finishing with the visual research. This work was translated into the BBC One Service Vision.
Our objective was to create a responsive, cohesive system supporting web, phone, tablets and TV. I was involved in identifying and developing the typographic system, including grid and layouts, as well as prototyping and user testing.
